A house usually runs a five-inch K-style gutter. A commercial building moves a lot more water off a bigger, flatter roof, so it needs more capacity and a different shape. That means stepping up to six-inch seamless gutters, or box gutters when the roofline calls for it, paired with larger three-by-four downspouts that carry water away fast instead of backing up at every corner.
