Seamless Gutter Installation in Ocala

Heavy .032 aluminum, custom-cut on your house and hung every two feet, so your gutters don’t pull off the wall in a Florida downpour.

If your gutters overflow, sag, or peel away from the fascia every storm season, it usually is not bad luck. It is thin metal, too few hangers, and seams in all the wrong places. We install custom seamless gutters built for hard Ocala rain and meant to outlast the roof above them. You get one straight answer, premium USA-made aluminum, and a state-licensed home inspector on the job from the first measurement to the last hanger.

WHY WE’RE DIFFERENT

Why Gutters Fail Here, and What It Costs You

Ocala gets a lot of rain, and it comes hard. Central Florida sees roughly 52 inches a year, and from June through September the afternoon storms can dump several inches in an hour. That kind of fast, heavy water is exactly what finds the weak spot in a cheap gutter. When the metal is thin, the hangers are spaced too far apart, and a clog adds weight, the gutter overflows, then sags, then peels off the fascia.

Here is what that actually costs you. Water that should be carried away instead runs down the wall and pools against the foundation. Fascia and soffit start to rot. Mulch and pavers wash out. The patio settles. None of that is dramatic on day one, which is the trap. By the time you see the stain on the ceiling or the crack at the slab, you are paying to fix the house, not just the gutter. You deserve a straight answer and a gutter that does its one job, even in a hard rain.

What Seamless Gutters Actually Are

A seamless gutter is one continuous length of metal, run off a machine and cut to fit your house on the spot. Instead of ten-foot store-bought sections joined with snap connectors and caulk every few feet, your gutter has joints only where it has to, at the corners and the downspout outlets. Fewer joints means fewer places to leak, fewer places for leaves to catch, and a cleaner line along the roof.

We fabricate yours on site in heavy aluminum, the most popular gutter material in Florida because it will not rust and it takes a baked-on finish that holds its color in the sun. The shape most homes use is K-style, which carries more water than the old round profile and looks like crown molding from the ground. Done right, a seamless aluminum gutter is quiet, tight, and close to invisible, which is the whole point. You should not have to think about your gutters again for a long time.

The Difference Is in the Details

Two gutters can look the same from the driveway and be built nothing alike. The difference is in the metal and the method, and it is the reason one set lasts twenty-five years and the other pulls off in five.

We run .032 aluminum. A lot of the cheap installs use .027. That sounds like a rounding error, but .032 is about 18 percent more metal and roughly 50 percent more resistant to bending and oil-canning. It holds its shape full of water. Then we hang it the right way. Florida practice lets you space hangers about every three feet. We set ours every two. Tighter spacing is the simplest reason a gutter does not sag or pull away when a clog and a downpour hit at the same time. We pitch every run for proper fall so water moves instead of standing, seal the corners and end caps to last, and size the downspouts to actually carry the load. I’m on every job, and I do about half the install myself, because the system is only as good as the installer.

What Size Gutter Do You Need?

We run seamless gutters in 5, 6, 7, and 8 inch. Most Ocala homes do well on a 6 inch gutter, which carries about 50 percent more water than the standard 5 inch and keeps up with our hard summer storms. Bigger roof planes, steep pitches, and homes tucked under heavy oaks and pines are where the larger sizes earn their keep.

Here is the honest part. A bigger number is not automatically better. If a 6 inch run sheds your water, we are not going to talk you into an 8 inch just to pad the invoice. If you have a screen enclosure or lanai that overwhelms a normal gutter, the right answer might be a super gutter instead, and we will tell you that. We size by your actual roof and your actual rain, then explain why, so you can make the call with real information in front of you.

Meet the Owner

Meet the Owner

Premium Leaf Guards is run by Jeff Ours, a state-licensed home and building inspector and a court-recognized construction expert with more than 20 years in the trade. That background is the difference. When the person measuring your roof has spent two decades seeing exactly how houses fail, you get gutters sized and hung to prevent the problem, not just to finish the job.

He is on every job and does about half the install himself. No commission closer, no rotating subcontractor, no call center between you and the work.

“I believe in over-engineering things, and everything I do is done to current codes and modern standards. I actually answer the telephone.”

That is the whole pitch. Better materials than the cheap guys, more honesty than the national brand, and the licensed expert standing on your ladder.

Frequently Asked Questions

It depends on how much gutter your house needs, the size, the number of stories, and the material, so an honest number takes a quick measurement. We do not play games on price or hide it behind a hard sell. Call for a free estimate, and for a puzzling unknown-issue call our $100 diagnostic is credited to the job if you hire us.

Most Ocala homes are best served by a 6 inch gutter, which moves about 50 percent more water than a 5 inch and keeps up with hard summer rain. Big or steep roofs and tree-heavy lots may call for 7 or 8 inch. We size it to your actual roof, not a one-size rule.

Almost always it is thin metal plus hangers spaced too far apart. Add the weight of a clog and a downpour and the gutter sags, then peels off the fascia. We hang .032 aluminum every two feet, tighter than code requires, which is the simplest fix for gutters that will not stay on the house.

Yes, for most homes. Sectional gutters are joined every few feet with connectors that become leak and clog points over time. A seamless gutter is one continuous piece with joints only at corners and downspouts, so it leaks less, clogs less, and looks cleaner.

A properly installed .032 aluminum system commonly lasts 20 to 30 years or more. Thickness, correct hanger spacing, proper pitch, and sealed corners are what get you the long end of that range. Our work carries a 2-year workmanship warranty on top of it.

We use .032, while a lot of cheaper installs use .027. The .032 is about 18 percent more metal and roughly 50 percent more resistant to bending and oil-canning, so it holds its shape full of water and does not dent at the first ladder bump.

Yes, and new gutters are the ideal time to do it. We fit 316L surgical stainless micro-mesh guards on a heavy aluminum frame, with a lifetime no-clog warranty honored personally, so you are not back on a ladder every fall under the oaks and pines.

Aluminum takes a durable baked-on finish, so we can match your fascia, trim, or roof from a wide range of colors. We will bring options and help you pick a finish that looks right on your home and holds its color in the Florida sun.
