But “roll-form gutters” usually points at something more specific: the gutters and pans built into aluminum awnings, patio covers, and screen rooms. Those are roll-formed too, often as a W-pan or twin-V pan in .024 or .032 aluminum, with a fascia gutter wrapped around the edge of the cover to carry water off. When that piece is bent, leaking, or no longer matches, you need a contractor who can roll-form the same shape again, not just hang an off-the-shelf gutter that does not fit.

Most roll-form awning gutters in Central Florida fail for plain reasons. The pans interlock and run from one end to the other, so a single dented or corroded panel can drag down a whole edge. Years of hard afternoon rain, ladder dings, pressure washing, and the odd fallen limb leave the gutter lip bent, the seams open, and the fall wrong. Water that should run to a downspout instead sheets over the front, pools on the cover, and drips on the lanai.
Here is the part that wears people down. We work in heavier .032 aluminum where the application allows, because it stands up to bending and Florida sun far better than the thin stock these covers often ship with. We set hangers and fasteners tight, the same discipline we bring to every gutter: Florida practice allows spacing out to about three feet, and we set tighter than that so the run does not sag or pull away. We re-establish the right fall toward the outlet, not just level to a crooked edge, so water leaves the cover the way it should. Then we seal the connections properly: cleaned to bare metal, sealed, and finished so it lasts years, not a season.
